TALK IT OVER

Icebreaker: Share about a time when you felt hopeful or encouraged in your faith journey. (Psalm 27:13)

1. Take a moment to review the outline and read the main passage (1 Thessalonians 1:1-10 ESV). What stood out to you and why?

2. How does the concept of being chosen by God for salvation impact your understanding of your faith journey? (1 Peter 2:9)

3. In what ways can we be faithful examples of Christ to those around us in our daily lives? (1 Thessalonians 1:6-7)

4. How can we actively share the love of Christ with others in our community and beyond? (Matthew 5:16)

5. What are some practical ways we can encourage and support other churches or believers in their faith walk? (1 Thessalonians 1:7)

6. What does it mean to live in anticipation of Christ's return, and how does this affect how we live our lives today? (Acts 1:11)

7. How can we maintain a balance between being hopeful for Christ's return and being actively engaged in serving others and sharing the gospel? (Romans 12:11-13)

8. Share any prayer requests you have, whether personal or for the group. (Philippians 4:6)

Announcements:

  • Remind group members to invite others to our Mother's Day services!
  • Encourage sign-ups for Baptisms during this special season. Mention that a Baptism testimony would be uplifting if someone is willing to share (Matthew 28:19-20). Let's maintain hope and readiness for Christ's return, being faithful in sharing His love. Let's keep each other in prayer and seek opportunities to invite others to celebrate Mother's Day and join Baptisms. If anyone feels led, we welcome Baptism testimonies in the coming weeks, celebrating new life in Christ.
