TALK IT OVER

Ice Breaker: Share a brief story or memory of when you had to choose what was most important about what you believed.

1. Reflecting on the comparison between Jesus, Muhammad, and Buddha, what stands out most about Jesus? Look up. John 14:6 How does Jesus' claim to be the only way to God impact your understanding of him compared to other religious leaders?

2. What practical ways can we learn more about Jesus and make him more prominent in our lives during the time leading up to Easter? Look up. Luke 9:23. How can we share Jesus with others and make him known in our communities? Look up. Matthew 28:19-20.

3. In John 17:1-5, we discover Jesus prays for himself. Why do you think Jesus asked for glory from the Father? How does Jesus' request for glory relate to his authority and the eternal life he offers?

4. Reflect on Jesus' prayer for unity among his disciples. How do you see unity as important in our faith communities today?

5. Look up, John 17:20-23. How can we maintain unity amidst diversity in our church or small group? Look up Ephesians 4:3.

6. Read John 15:11. How does the joy Jesus offers differ from temporary happiness? Share a time when you experienced joy through your relationship with Jesus.

7. Read James 1:2-4 about Growing Through Challenges. In what ways have you experienced growth or maturity through difficult times?

8. Read Romans 5:3-5. How does knowing that suffering produces perseverance and character encourage you in your faith journey?

9. Please take a moment to reflect on one thing you've learned or been challenged by during our discussion today.

Close the time by praying for the group to apply these truths.

*Take prayer requests one way or another and pray for one another in the meeting or throughout the week.

*Lastly, please have the group share who they hope to invite to Good Friday and Easter Services and start praying for them.
