Making An Impact In the Next Generation

Jesus is using our church to work in and through the lives of the Next Generation. This month, we are so excited to share an encouraging story about two high school students who are a part of our Guides Program.
We are pleased for you to meet, Kaley and Landon.

Our Guides Program is designed to have students assist in guiding other children and youth on their spiritual journey to grow in a relationship with Jesus and his church. They serve on Sunday mornings alongside an adult teacher. This past Sunday, Kaley and Landon taught our PreK classroom for the very first time solo and are the first Guides to have ever done it!

Valerie Robertson, our NV Kids Coordinator, explains that "Kaley and Landon have taken on a remarkable role within NV Kids, transitioning from assistants helping the teacher, leading in activities and prayer, to confident and capable teachers for our PreK class. Their journey demonstrates their commitment to sharing and showing the love of Jesus to the Next Generation. Over time, their dedication and enthusiasm set them apart, allowing them to assume more responsibility and leadership within NV Kids. Through their commitment, they have become shining examples of what it means to follow Jesus! Kaley and Landon have become valuable role models for NV Kids. We are so proud of them!"

Kaley states "I love serving because I have the chance to build relationships with these kids and show them how to love like Jesus. I love pouring into their lives and watching how they affect my life. Serving is not just an opportunity for me to work in the lives of others, but for God to work in mine."

Landon adds that "I enjoy the little kids and being able to make relationships with them. I love how they open up and are excited to be at church each and every week. I love how God is moving through the ministry at this church and that I have the chance to be a part of it."

Jesus is using our Next Generation and working through them to reach all ages. We are thankful that the Lord continues to show his faithfulness here at North Valley. When you give, you're fueling and funding ministries, such as our Guides Program.
