Jesus gives the invitation to trust in Him personally and not merely believe facts about him. Many of us find ourselves in a situation where we are oppressed by the circumstances around us. We are tired from our work and carry a heavy burden on our shoulders. Jesus asks you to seek forgiveness of your sins and enjoy freedom from the crushing burden and guilt of trying to earn salvation by good works by trusting in Him. Jesus tells us that He will give us rest and renewal. He says that we learn from Him because He is gentle and lowly in heart. If we do so, we will find eternal rest for our souls because what He is asking us to do is easy to carry and freeing. Are you a disciple of Christ? Are you committed to learning from Him? Is there an area of your life you are holding on to and not giving to Christ? Find rest in Christ today by trusting in Him intimately and personally.
