Three R’s of Engaging Neighbors - Redemptive

Have you ever won an argument yet lost at the same time because it damaged your relationship? It is possible to be 100% right and 100% relevant, yet alienate a person by your words. This happens when your words are not redemptive. That is, they are not motivated by or delivered with love. Our goal is not to win an argument as if we were facing an adversary. Our goal is to build a bridge into the life of another person so that we have the opportunity to share and show the love of Jesus Christ. Without the undergirding of love, we may just be noise in the ears of our neighbors! Let us work to be redemptive in the lives of our neighbors, remembering that love is patient and kind. How can you be more redemptive in your interactions today?
