FORGIVENESS

Pray then like this: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come,your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. Matthew 6:9-12

Forgiveness restores broken relationships and releases mankind's spiritual debt

FORGIVENESS IS GOD’S PLAN

For this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. Matthew 26:28

It was now about the sixth hour, and there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour, while the sun's light failed. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two. Then Jesus, calling out with a loud voice, said, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit!” And having said this he breathed his last. Luke 23:44-46

FORGIVENESS IS SHOCKING

Now when the centurion saw what had taken place, he praised God, saying, “Certainly this man was innocent!" Luke 23:47

And Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” Luke 23:34

For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God." 2 Corinthians 5:21

And all the crowds that had assembled for this spectacle, when they saw what had taken place, returned home beating their breasts. And all his acquaintances and the women who had followed him from Galilee stood at a distance watching these things. Luke 23:48-49

FORGIVENESS IS GUARANTEED

....everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name. Acts 10:43

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9
