AC SERIES PT3: GIVE MORE PRESENCE
MAIN POINT: LET’S GIVE MORE PRESENCE THIS YEAR

3 GROUPS OF PEOPLE WHO NEED PRESENCE...

“Giving presence is about being personally and emotionally connected.”

#1 RELATIVES

Children need training: Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it. (Proverbs 22:6)The home needs help: But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever. (1Timothy 5:8)“Provide means to think ahead, seeing needs in advance...”

#2 CHURCH FAMILY

Christians need time together: So, being affectionately desirous of you, we were ready to share with you not only the gospel of God but also our own selves, because you had become very dear to us. (1 Thessalonians 2:8)The church has service opportunities And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith. (Galatians 6:9-10)

#3 NEIGHBORS

“God doesn’t need your good-works but your neighbors do” - Martin Luther

Christians make time & talk. Walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of the time. Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person. (Colossians 4:5-6)Christians have influence: “You are the salt of the earth....“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden..... In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. (Matthew 5:13-16)

WE CAN GIVE B/C GOD GAVE

She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.” All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet: “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” (which means, God with us). (Matthew 1:21-23)

We have His Son; He Gave us a Savior; We have His Presence
