Respect the Beard

Beards in the Bible are cool. The ancient Hebrew tradition associated beards with wisdom. The beard signified the connection between the head and the body. Wisdom implied knowing the right thing to do (the head) and actually doing it (the body). The beard connected the two in ancient Hebrew thought. King Solomon was said to be the wisest man in the world, and perhaps he had a huge beard to show for it as well. His wealth and wisdom surpassed that of any Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates or Warren Buffet. He deserves respect. In this message series, we are going to learn from Solomon's wisdom in the book of Proverbs and Ecclesiastes. In these books, we'll take a deeper look into our faith and finances, and then perhaps come to a place where we respect the beard!
